Tallyfield keeps two read-only Jira fields current across each project hierarchy so teams can filter descendant estimate totals and identify parents with unestimated work below them.

Stores descendant original-estimate totals in a read-only number field.
Stores descendant counts in a second read-only number field.
Writes only changed values and repairs project drift on an hourly schedule.
Uses Jira custom fields that participate in JQL after values are indexed.

Questions

What estimate does Tallyfield total today?

The first release totals Jira's original time estimate in seconds across all descendants. Configurable story-point fields are not yet implemented.

Can I filter the results in JQL?

Tallyfield writes app-owned Jira number fields, which Jira indexes for JQL. Live-site acceptance remains a release gate before Marketplace publication.
